Embracing Learning to improve my client’s experience and their images!
It's almost surreal to think about how far I've come. I'll be the first to admit that my early attempts at photography in middle school were far from impressive. The pictures I took could easily be described as "terrible," but here's the thing: I just didn't care. There was something about photography that ignited a spark within me, a passion to improve and evolve.
I still want to continue to learn how to make better images; to create meaningful images so people feel valued and see their beauty. I believe photography is my platform to transform lives so I take this seriously and will never stop learning to improve.
As an entrepreneur and artist, my values are simple: to always strive for excellence and treat others with the respect they deserve. I choose to continue to learn so I can enhance the experience I provide to clients and to create images that truly resonate with them. It’s also a little selfish. I continue to learn because I want to easily create something without wasting time or energy and I want to create images that fill me with joy too!
Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the Everything Senior Workshop taught by the talented photographer, David Beckham. David's images are nothing short of stunning. He is an award-winning artist, with a huge heart to connect with high school seniors.
What struck me the most is his genuine desire to uplift the entire photography community with his transparency on how he creates images and runs his photography business.
The workshop was a blend of instruction and hands-on practice. We got to photograph as he taught us how to make the models look even more attractive by guiding them into poses, learn about the best lighting techniques and tools, his business model, and helping clients get products that help them cherish their children for the rest of their lives.
Grading the Everything Senior Workshop is easy—it's a solid 10/10. The workshop not only improved my skills but also gave me ideas that I’m so excited to implement with my Senior photography. David's generosity in sharing his knowledge and his commitment to elevating our profession were both truly inspiring. I definitely recommend David Beckham's courses.
