This month, we’re inviting 15 amazing Tweens & Teens (ages 9-14) to participate in a confidence-building Portrait opportunity at our studio.
This session is all about celebrating your child just as they are, their personality, interests, quirks, and everything that makes them uniquely them.
Each participant will enjoy:

✔️ The chance to express their identity through poses, outfits, and meaningful props

Whether they’re shy or outgoing, sporty or artsy, this experience is about capturing their spirit in timeless portraits they'll be proud to look back on.

Who is this for?
Free to be Real is for tweens and teens who would love to do something fun. They get to showcase their special interests, clothes, hobby or even create a fantasy. Maybe they want to feel glammed up like a model in frilly dress or wearing a suit with sunglasses.
The real part is about finding out who they really are. What do they really love. And who really loves them. The truth is that they matter and it's important to show them they are significant.
I think all of us can relate to feeling awkward. Our hands are big and bodies are growing. Our teeth might not look like everyone else's.
At Desired Focus Photography we show them the beauty inside of them, even during these awkward transitions of life.
It's for parents to know they are raising kids that will stand up for what they believe in, instead of going with the crowd.

A customized photoshoot at Desired Focus Photography Studio in Granville, which is near Columbus.
Posing and Coaching during the photoshoot so they feel comfortable and look great!

$150 credit - you can use this towards purchase of additional images or printed artwork
Frequently asked questions
My child is nervous and hates getting pictures taken!
Of course he or she is nervous! Doing something out of comfort zones is always a bit nerve-wracking.
And many of us have had bad experiences with getting pictures taken or feel ugly or that the picture doesn't represent us.
Our photographer Casey will guide each teen and tween and encourage them so they get the look they want and feel comfortable. And many even heal that wound they got during a past photoshoot.
When will we get to see the photos?
During and right after your shoot - before you leave the studio!
Will you retouch acne?
YES! All of your images will be fully retouched at no extra charge. But your child will still look like themselves.
Will you post my images online?
We take your privacy very seriously. Any photos that are posted on our website and social media have been given permission to do so.
When will I get the retouched digital image(s)?
All ordered images are retouched and delivered within 24 hours of your photoshoot!
My child is not at their goal weight - can you still help them feel good and get pictures they like?
YES! We specialize in helping bring out the most beautiful features in every person and help their personality shine.
What do I need to bring to the photoshoot?
At our planning session we take the homework away!
We can help you select outfits they love and that will fit they style they want. You can bring pets, toys, hobbies and more!
We’ll also send you a detailed prep guide before your shoot with everything else you’ll need to know about getting ready.
Where is the studio located?
We are located in Granville, near Columbus, Ohio at 130 North Prospect St. The studio is on the second floor, directly above "The Lot" restaurant. For those with mobility needs, we have an elevator.
